Closed train station

Are You Willing To Trade Your Freedom For A Train Ticket?

Not so long ago, just before the Corona "season" started, it used to be people, not only poles, standing in line in front of this train station. However, for a few months now, the train is shut down, and all its stations nationwide are closed. So how does one get to work?

I am privilege to be a digital nomad and to practice my work from any place I like. I also own a car, so I can get to the meetings I must attend in person. But what about all the other hundreds of people I used to share my daily train rides with, no way all of them are digital nomads. So, I can not escape the question of how do they get to work? How are they make their living these days?

With all due respect to the philosophy of living away from the big city and using public transportation instead of owning a polluting car, the corona has proven that we can not trust anyone but ourselves, less of all the government. In any aspect, car owners’ job security is much less affected by the coronavirus. They even less exposed and likely to get infected.

Are you willing to pay for a train ticket with your freedom?
